Facebook Endpoint Guide

Schedule a Facebook Live event on the web, then stream to it from MyTeamLive.

Schedule a Live Event

  1. Open a browser on your laptop and go to https://facebook.com.
  2. Click Live Video.
  3. Click Create event.
  4. On the left, enter the event name, description, date, time, and privacy.
  5. Click Next .
  6. Click Settings.
  7. Click Stream.
  8. On the right, toggle Use a persistent stream key on.
  9. Copy the stream key.
  10. Click Create event.

Configure the Endpoint in MyTeamLive

  1. In the Live Streams Tab, tap Add Live Stream.
  2. Choose Facebook as the service to auto-fill the server URL.
  3. Paste the stream key from Facebook.
  4. Enter a recognizable name for this destination.
  5. Tap Save.

Do this once, update if the stream key is changed.

Go Live

  1. Open the Go Live Tab.
  2. Select the Facebook endpoint.
  3. Complete the broadcast setup.
  4. Tap Go Live to open the Camera View.
  5. Tap Play/Pause on the control bar to broadcast in Standby mode. Standby sends the intermission screen with muted audio.
  6. Tap Play to unmute and broadcast the live camera feed.
  7. Facebook will begin to stream at the scheduled time.

End the Broadcast

Press Stop to end the live video stream; then press Close to close the Camera View.

FAQ

  • Expect a short delay between the app and the viewer feed.
  • Facebook Live videos remain available for 30 days.
